Of course his tears were real. I can't imagine this President having the talent to fake tears. The question is what were the tears about? Him, I'm sure. His last year in office. His growing awareness that his legacy will be laughed at. No more unlimited vacation budget after this year. That every decision he makes ends up in a quagmire. Or maybe, just maybe, reality is beginning to seep into his awareness and he is beginning to realize that he is a failure. Yes, those were real tears. How can any doubt it? He has so much to cry about...

You had me until you said he was beginning to realize that he is a failure. I think their is a reason he surrounds himself with pathological liars and buffoons...or both.

The first step to complete power over people is to disarm them. The authors of the 2nd Amendment knew this and that is why they thought it was so important to include the right to bear arms. Look around, legitimate gun owners already have to go through a multitude of background checks; statistics don't bear out an increase in homicide due to firearms; criminals do not obtain guns legally; most victims of violent firearm homicide are criminals. Gun Control is just a political ploy to advance an idea that he believes in but which has little support, factual or popular

Looks like someone squirted lemon juice in his eyes to me...I don't believe it. I just don't believe anything he says or does any longer. All of these executive actions bypassing congress just fuel the fire for me and to use emotion to tag onto the American people and sell this as the right thing to do without congress's approval...well...he might be selling but I am not buying.

I don't think they were real, or at least not completely real.

That and I can't help but think that if a family member or friend of mine had been shot and I was called by any president's press team to be present for the passing of a new bill or legislation I would probably lose my cool on whoever was on the other line for wanting to use me or my deceased loved one to push their political BS, doesn't matter if they are Democratic or Republican. I don't know how those people can stand up there for stuff like this. I would be grieving my lost loved one, not standing behind a political leader on TV.

SrA Matthew Knight actually, many of the parents have said they have dedicated their lives to getting stronger gun control laws passed. Those parents up there were hardly insulted by the request to attend. They were extremely thankful for the President's actions. And they understand that the process of passing bills or executive orders is entirely political. The only way change will come is through politicians.
