Do you feel it an honor to continue what you started when you take your uniform off?

To all Veterans, Active Duty Personnel (transitioning) and Transitioned Veterans into Civilian Workforce. I am volunteer veteran platoon leader and I felt that I never could stop helping others, so I joined a great organization like MIssion Continues. Please go online in your particular area and sign up for a Platoon and become a leader for mission to benefit your community. We also have Platoon Leaders opportunities and Fellow positions for Veterans willing to serve and learn more about non-profits. Sign up today at http://www.missioncontinues.org

I may have retired in 2002, and physically hung my uniform up, but subconsciously I still wear it, and I will until the day I die. Then, once again and for the last time, I will put it back on and never take it off.

Interesting. I do a lot of volunteer work, but I like what this has to offer. Although there are no platoons near me right now.

Thats a great response. Mission Continues is growing and depending on location of the city your near there maybe a platoon starting up in the next 12-24 months. But in the meantime reach out on the website to the closest platoon and see if they can come to your area and do a volunteering event with your community.
