Yes...it catches those that think they're smarter than testing.

However, random testing does not affect those that don't care.

So you would have no problem with the police searching your house any time they want?

I'm not sure how this escalated from a random urinalysis to home searches, SPC Jan Allbright, M.Sc., R.S....but you keep on grasping, I guess.

Random can work when used in conjunction with 100% followed by a repeat 100% 48-72 hours later.

With the new drugs today you need it is hard to catch - some of these are out of your system within 24-48 hours. Have a surprise check on saturday or sunday mornings at 0500 hrs..you would be surprised to see the numbers

SFC Stephen King , that is also a key component...surprise checks at an off time. They've implemented that here at Drum.

Although it works to highlight who is abusing substances, it takes far too long to separate those who are. The paperwork is onerous at best... Only one piece of paper should be needed, the positive test.

CSM David Heidke, I agree with the sentiment, but the the statement as is. A confirmed, non-false positive, non-prescribed (taken correctly), without mitigating circumstances (IE no-intentional ingestion).
