Do you get reimbursed for cancellation fees on the GTC?

I was supposed to go TDY to Germany earlier this month but had my phone, cac, license, and debit card stolen (phone wallet case) on thanksgiving and my flight was 2 days later. I was also out of state handling my personal affairs to make sure nothing goes wrong while I was on my trip(ironic huh?). I managed to cancel things for free after explaining my situation, except for this one hotel that is charging a cancellation fee on my GTC. They haven’t done it yet and it hasn’t populated on my account so I can’t create the voucher to close out. But when it does populate, is that out of pocket? Or is the voucher for reimbursement to pay the card?

This is where you pose this RFI to your NDAA and/or DTS Approving Authority.

Yes you do, you simply do a small voucher for the amount.
However, with that said, you should not be receiving cancelation fees if the room was booked through DTS or booked for the government rate.
Either way, you are not responsible to pay them

SPC (Join to see)
It was booked through booking.com Because there was no room available in the NATO school lodging so I had to do my own accommodations.

You cancel the DTS authorization "with costs".
When the cancel gets approved, you create a voucher for that cost.
