Do you have a post-military deam business planned?

If I had my way I would have a slice of land and set up an outdoor rifle/pistol range. I have ZERO business skills so that isn't a reality for me, but it sure would be FUN! If you had a military ID I'd let you help police the range in lieu of membership fees! I'd have the reloaders on station doing their thing. I'd even have a coffee shop so I could have all my vices covered and co-located. Do you have a dream business? Are you already living your dream? You may already have the next great idea!

I'd love to own & operate a little bar & grille. The kind where people keep coming back and you get to actually know them. A Military theme wouldn't be out of the question.

If you ever realize your dream, be sure to let us all know where it is! I'm sure a lot of us would drop in!

Not sure how it can be considered a business, but I found my dream JOB the first time I saw an episode of 'Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives' many years ago. Someone PLEASE offer me a job where I get to drive some classic American Muscle, and eat great food! What a racket!!

CMSgt (Join to see) , we can always stick to the cool cars and banish the rickshaw! May have to take 2 cars at a time when we opt for the exotic 2 seaters though!

Personal hit man. There are a lot of stupid people that need killing! Some may consider me among them, so the last name on my list would be me.

CPL Brown, Doesn't OR have an assisted death law? I am not quite ready, I can't run and won't jump but I have a lot of Scotch Whisky to drink! When it is gone, I will move to OR and give you a shout!

I am growing my dream!!! I own sgtmurphystactical.com and it goes live this friday!!! This is an ammo and tactical supply business that will direct ship to you anywhere in the continental! i am doing all of this through sweat equity and paying out of pocket as i go. The end goal is to turn it into a gun shop here in Arlington TX.

I've thought about a piece of land and making a RV storage lot. Around our area here in Spokane County, WA just a spot outside goes for $50 to $90. For covered storage it's about $150 to $170 and completely enclosed up to $250. Could get about 10 acres and dedicate 5 to storage and it would pay for itself. But I like the range idea or the military themed bar.

I have had a similar idea, but then I thought it would be too limiting to locate a range on a piece of land. I found a company that makes mobile ranges in 18 wheeler trailers. You pull in, set up and run people through in 4 person groups. It fits in with busy schedules and allows people to get requalified quickly, without having to go to a range that is probably miles away. One trailer can have a pistol range and FATS trainer. It would be perfect for training police, CWP classes, and other groups.Â

I plan on using my EO skills and putting in my own personal 200yrd rifle range. Set it up with a dirt berm at 50 yards, 100 yards, and 200 yards. After I buy the farm. (Discussed in this forum earlier)

I'm currently struggling to be a film-maker, with an emphasis on veterans as cast/crew.
I once wanted to open a reasonably authentic Celtic pub (because I am forced to include my Irish brethren). I wanted it to have a sort of medieval/fantasy tavern feel. We would blast punk rock and metal, along with traditional Scottish (and, begrudgingly, Irish) music. Live bands, too. Then I discovered that Marietta GA, about 10-15min away from me, already has something like this.

I'm actually Scottish. Not by genetic ancestry either. The three Tilted Kilts I've visited weren't really anything interesting to me. Don't get me wrong, I love women and I love women in schoolgirl costumes, but maybe it was just the lackadaisical shift that I got each time. Also, I'm not much for eye candy. I like candy I can... err... nevermind.

This may sound funny, but my Dream Business would be to open a Full-Service gas station like we used to have when I was a kid. I miss the days when you would we would pull up to the service station with my folks and the guy would come up and my dad would say fill er' up and check the oil please. Those days have gone the way of dodo bird. My wife would love to own a mom and pop restaurant so it would be cool to have an attached coffee shop and even a service area that my middle son who is studying to be a mechanic could work on cars. A Real honest to goodness family owned place. Yeah that's my dream Job. Or a themed bar I would settle for that also.

I would certainly come to your station. I know it sounds cheesy but I miss the old days of personal service. I worked at one of the last full service Chevron stations in Alaska as a young man.
