If you pass your ncoes after the eps board meets do you have to wait until the board meets again to get pinned for your next promotion? The board meets in March. Say you pass your ncoes in September of that same year. Do you get pinned after completion of that school or do you have to wait until March of the next year? (Considering all other prerequisites are met)

In the Army, when soldiers meet the cutoff scores around the 20th or so of the month, they wait until the 1st of the next month and the orders are printed, then they usually have a ceremony and pin the soldier to the next rank

I'd say wait to get pinned there's nothing like being pinned in front of your peers and in front of your leadership.

This is a question many soldiers at my unit have asked. No one has really given a clear response. Hopefully I can get good direction here to bring back to the soldiers at my unit.

I got my stripes from the Post SgtMaj and my wife at a ceremony in the NCO Club. At the time, I was the 1Sgt of a Special Detachment that had nothing but AWOLs and Deserters waiting Courts Martial (Gen & Spec) or getting kicked out of the Army. I had an average of 150-200 on the Morning Report. The SGM mentioned when he hung the stripes on me, he wondered what an E6 was doing in the Detachment. My Bn SGM set him straight. We had a lot of fun over that. Those were the good old days, believe me.
