All you photogenic military personnel out there in RP Land let’s have a little photo session just to lighten it up today! Share the first photograph or the earliest photograph of yourself when you entered the military and tell us the date of the photo.
I'll start with Private Burroughs in 1975 at Fort Leonard Wood, MO & end with Colonel Mikel in 2005!

I was looking for my first picture as an Army JROTC Cadet, but can’t seem to find it. At any rate, here are 1) my photo as the XO of my high school Army JROTC (Cadet Major) in 2001, 2) a photo as a Midshipman Fourth Class at Georgia Tech NROTC in 2002, 3) my photo from Officer Development School as a Chaplain Candidate in 2008, and 4) my first official photo as a Chaplain in 2015.

This is Pvt Scott McCarroll. Taken at MCRD San Diego. Yes a Hollywood Marine, the pic of me in sunglasses and umbrella seems to have been lost. Oh yeah the date October 1st two days before graduation (and as I neglected to tell my DI) my bday of the 3rd. COL Mikel J. Burroughs
