ALL New Connections - Back by Popular Demand! I'm still receiving some great photos from all you RP Members. THANKS!
Keep them coming!
All you photogenic military personnel out there in RP Land let’s have a little photo session just to lighten it up today! Share the first photograph or the earliest photograph of yourself when you entered the military and tell us the date of the photo.
I'll start with Private Burroughs in 1975 at Fort Leonard Wood, MO & end with Colonel Mikel in 2005!

In 1983 I was doing AIT at Benning, I was the first shooter (or one of the first) on the new (then new) million dollar M-16 range. That was a big deal back then to have pop up moving targets. We had reporters and high ranking brass there for that.

I went back to Fort Benning seven years later for the Infantry Mortar Platoon Course (IMPC). One evening at dinner I went to the bar at the End of the Hall Club to get a drink and the bartender was one of the Drill Sergeants in my company from Basic. DS Cadogan actually remembered me from that basic training cycle.

Wow, this brings back a memory: Germany, sometime between 85-87, either REFORGER or normal Graf training, it was raining heavy and for some reason I really wanted to get clean, I undressed in my tent, stepped out in the rain, soaped up and let the rain rinse me off. Felt great!
