All you photogenic military personnel out there in RP Land let’s have a little photo session just to lighten it up today! Share the first photograph or the earliest photograph of yourself when you entered the military and tell us the date of the photo.

I'll start with Private Burroughs in 1975 at Fort Leonard Wood, MO & end with Colonel Mikel in 2005!

M-60 Gunner, Desert White Sands NM, Alice backpack 60#+

St Mere Eglise Drop Zone, Fort Bragg NC, lucky a good friend took this picture, something you can't replace. Attached with M-60 and Alice Backpack, sometimes with 3ea. 81mm mortars, better then with a case of C-Rats.

Panama Fort Sherman, 2nd/505th Inf. 82nd ABN, Jungle Expert Training with 7th. Special Forces training group, Jungle Operations Training Center (JOTC). Three months in the jungle, wet everyday, 7 days a week, with one day off in three months. Airborne, and then some.

I guess if we are talking about just A uniform though... I present to you Cadet Colonel Joseph Gunderson hahaha. The last day that I wore my AFJROTC uniform. This picture was taken at the end of my senior year directly following our awards ceremony. I didn't have a whole lot to be proud of back in those days, but I was sure as hell felt proud when I put that uniform on. Sounds stupid, but I really don't care.
