This was taken on the USS Constellation on 10/23/87. We had just got back from our Deployment and it was my Daughters 13th birthday and we had a Father/Daughter Dance. She said it was her best Birthday ever. I retired in Jan 88

Since the next picture from that day was of me wearing the t-shirt, I'm gonna guess that this is indeed the last picture of me in uniform.

Oh I was saving them for my Book "My Second Tour of Duty Vietnam 50yr's Later" But I will Post a couple just for Fun! Mike Cates 1/14th Artillery Hdq'ts Btry. 198th Brigade Americal Division Chu Lai Duc Pho! Just got back a couple of weeks ago from taking a Car Tour from Hanoi to Saigon it kind of pulled a lot of things that I had heard about together and proved that a lot of things that I heard and still hear about ARE FLAT OUT LIES!!! Ooooppppssss! Have to get back to writing!

Unfortunately this is the ONLY picture I have from my time in the Marine Corps, it's the picture they take of you in boot camp. Upon asking my ex-wife for a divorce she gathered up all my uniforms, commendations and memorabilia/photos and burned them in retaliation while I was away on business.

Nope my wife before I came back in 2009.. lost ,threw it away, or "missed placed" it ot forgot.. Im missing alot of memories l, and trying to get in touch with with fellow soldiers for any pics..but most pics of my special moments are lost..it sucks big time
