There are many different types of financial scams charity scams, lottery and sweepstakes scams, tax related identity theft, census fraud, pyramid schemes, telephone scams (a very popular one is where they call telling you there is a problem with your credit card and ask for your information so they can "verify" it it your account), and financial fraud to name a few. Do you know the tips to protect yourself, your financial future and your family? For tips on how to become more aware and protect yourself check out the following link.https://www.usa.gov/common-scams-frauds#item-211606

Great Post! Thank you for the heads up. If I ever have a question about a call, I try to get some details from the caller and then call the bank, or who ever it is directly and figure it out. They are not going to presure me into making an on the spot decision and give up important details.

Tell them you need to run it by your CPA first, and ask for their contact information. That gets rid of about 90% of them. Then, if it sounds too good to be true - it probably is. Google them, look who is behind the company, and look for any cases against them.
