Do you plan on wearing the Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP) uniform one last time before it goes away forever?

As the UCP uniform is phasing out on 30 September. What's your thoughts on one last wearable opportunity before it gets hanged up forever? I thought it would be fun, but for me, I don't have the tan boots to go with it, nor do I have the proper grey patches. I don't think anyone would mind one day of nostalgia.... would they? I'm sure there is more then one Sergeants Major who will have a migraine. :)

I've hated that pattern since I saw it for the first time in a Ranger Joe's catalog.

COL Thomas Ficarra - I remember when I was in Iraq wearing that pattern and thinking that this was not the most thought out pattern in military history.

No, for two reasons. First, everything is sewn on and the rank on my old UCPs is two pay grades lower than I currently wear. Second, even if it were current I hated the pattern and can’t wait to see it relegated to the annals of history.

PFC Jeffrey Herrington from July 2015 to now I’ve seen no issues with personnel choosing the velcro rank and tapes. I still have sets without the extras sewn on. Since pin on rank isn’t really feasible with the OCP blouse, promotion ceremonies really have to take place in a Velcro only uniform.

Sorry, but I hated that whole outfit. I would rather bring back BDU's and black polishable boots for one more day.

I wear mine when working in the yard due to high levels of ticks in my area (permethrin, anyone?) and when turning wrenches in the garage, painting around the house, etc.

Retired before the new pattern came out. But I DID wear the Woodland on the last day authorized, and the Green class A's on their last day. Several thought I was a German exchange officer since the Class A wear-out date had been extended so many times no one had seen it worn in 4 or 5 years.

I wanted to wear my Class A's on the last day but my GO gave me a dirty look and told me, don't you dare. Shame really, I liked that uniform.

The difference is that BDU's and Class A Greens were actually nice uniforms haha.
