Doug Macdonald I've personally had a problem in trusting our government and political figures for over the last 20 to 30 years. Ever since Bill Clinton had an affair with a woman in the white house as the Commander in Chief and POTUS, I've had real hard time trusting the civilian leadership in this country, as well as the constant wasteful spending of our Federal Government. There are some things they done correctly, but maybe it's just me. Everytime I turn on the news or read an article there is government waste, fraud, and power abuse, etc. How can the normal individual ever really trust those we're electing when this continues to happen on a regular basis. Just my opinion - maybe I'm looking at it the wrong way or maybe I'm looking at it with blinders on!

COL Mikel J. Burroughs - Mikel; Don't be too hard on Mr. Clinton, he's only following in the footsteps of John H. Kennedy, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Warren G. Harding, Woodrow Wilson, James Garfield, Lyndon Johnson, Grover Cleveland, James Buchanan, and Franklin Delano Roosevelt. (I've left George HW Bush and George W Bush off the list because the evidence to support their sexual peccadilloes isn't all that strong [yet].)

COL Ted Mc Yes, you are right, but we didn't have to go through an impeachment proceeding and have to listen to them lie to the American people LIVE on TV. How do you trust that Commander in Chief? As you can tell I don't care for the Mr. Clinton or his astranged wife Hillary. LOL!

MSgt Mike Ruikka I was lucky to catch your response today because I'm so far behind and COL Ted Mc responded to my love for former POTUS Clinton. You can make sure that your intended connections get a response if you are in a thread by highlighting their names you just have to enter as follows (@COL Mikel Burroughs) and then a drop of my name or anyone else you are communicating with drop down and you click on their name and it will come up in brackets like so [MSgt Mike Ruikka] and be highlighted and it will also send a message via email that someone has responded or mentioned you by name - then you can see their response. Thought I would hsare that with you for future responses, posts, and discussions.

COL Mikel J. Burroughs - Mikel; If you do your own research (into the politics of the situation as well as into the facts of the case) actually watching the broadcasts was about as exciting as watching a NASCAR race with only one entrant.
I don't "like" Ms. Clinton, but think that (given half a chance) she can actually do the job. I don't "like" Mr. Trump either but DON'T have the same confidence in him actually being able to do the job. I don't "like" Ms. Clinton's "policies" but think that there is some chance of them working. I don't "like" Mr. Trump's "policies" and think that there is NO chance of them working.

Of course the government doesn't have our best interest in mind. When some people wish to take from those who have worked and give it to those who haven't, well, I have a huge problem with that.

SSG (Join to see), So that would be a no. As I speak to different audiences across the country, I find that people have lost trust in most of our institutions. I tell them to trust in themselves and they will never be let down.

Doug Macdonald, that would be very correct. It's not so much that I don't trust the "government" but it's the very corrupt and heavily entrenched politicians who do not give two flips about the people.

The government is the least of our problems. It is precisely the government that We the People want. We keep electing and reelecting them, Don't we. If you want to see the real problem, look in a mirror. Did the person there do everything they could to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution? Obviously, We haven't, have we?

That's an ugly truth. Now how many will accept it for what it is, or will they blame a party or someone else?
