It seems to me diehard frontrunner supporters put on massive blinders to their respective favorites glaring flaws. Neither candidate is fit for the role of President. Both are a brilliant display of the flaws in the system. Are we all just too accepting of the status quo?

I have yet to meet any Trump supporters who are "blind" to his many flaws. Hillary supporters on the other hand excuse hers away. It's understandable. A voter can accept Trump's flaws and still vote for him, reluctantly for sure. Anyone who accepts Hillary's flaws must turn away in disgust. They are so much more egregious.

What I hear you saying, robert, is that judicial tyranny can't exist either. When partisan hacks appoint partisan hacks to the bench, you get a symbiotic executive/judicial tyranny. Either way, WE the people lose.

SSG Michael Hartsfield - I dont give a F about congress he or she will be the Commander IN chief, they will have at their beck and call the ablity to enforce laws or not, be able to issue edicts that usurp our congress, pick and appoint our future Supreme Court and lastly order your death as a soldier, sailor, airman or marine.. NO I wont turn a blind eye to Trump, however Hillary has proven over and over again to ME, that she is untrustworthy to hold the office of President of the USA. she has lied to you and I, he has willfully disregarded national security, classified document handling, taken classified information outside of secure channels and fragrantly defied DOS rules.

NO she is not worthy, Trump is not much better but still BETTER is BETTER

There are a FEW diehard supporters in either camp, but the majority who are voting for either candidate ( in this election ) are voting against the other. I am not voting for trump, I am voting against hillary and I suspect a lot of hillary supporters are saying the exact opposite.

SPC Don Wynn - Another wasted vote. But hey, in the end you can say "it wasn't my fault I voted for X". It won't be true, but you can say it.

MSgt James Mullis - Well Top, if we get enough to vote for a third party, we might actually get a third party that would be a counter balance to the two we currently have.

SPC Don Wynn - That's not happening this election, it's literary impossible for either of the third parties to win. The only chance you have of affecting the outcome is a vote for either Trump our Hillary.

I think if there was of a no confidence vote option, which forced the parties to start from scratch and choose more palatable candidates for the people to chose from, that is an option many would take...
But our system of election has no such option...it was built assuming, one candidate would be a "Good" choice, not just one, less worse than the other..

CPT Jack Durish - Sir I suppose if such an option was in the system and with it came ramifications for failure to bring qualified candidates to us for the choosing.... that might help..
Or, again assuming the party in question desires to stay relevant..and we "vote" to not choose thier candidate, the next time they might be inclined to put one up we would support. ...or they risk not having a candidate in the running at all.

I am so repulsed by what Hildebeast has done that I could vomit. I think my stomach will digest itself if she wins this election. I can't imagine the things she will do to us under our noses. Do I like Donald? Not initially. He is an unpolished man. But I think he has our best interest in mind. I think she will just continue more pay for play. Just business as usual.

It's so blatant right now isn't it? The worst part is that nobody is doing anything about it save for a select few in Congress. But the door keeps shutting in their collective face.

It's not the candidates that are flawed, it's the system that is used to put them there that is. There is no way any of us on RP would've picked either one to represent a dead horse, but they are . Both parties are to blame and like Ryan said "you don't pick the nominee...WE do". That should tell you right there where you are in the pecking order. Again if you look at what both parties put out as "candidates" it was preordained that the RNC's candidate would be Bush, and the DNC's Clinton. Everything else was meant to be cannon fodder for those two. Then Trump happened. Trump has effectively destroyed the traditional means of campaigning and you see it in smaller contests where we've gone beyond the usual mud-slinging, to truly personal attacks on family members or relatives. The old status quo is done for. I'm just not sure if that was the best move for our country. You can look at European governments and they are actually fighting in their chambers. All out brawls. That should not be what we do, but in this climate, it's coming.

MAJ Charles Blake - Sir Bush was preordained until Trump put that horse down. We all knew (as Americans it was to be Clinton and Bush pt2), but the only person Trump couldn't make go down was a 68 year old woman who lies as much as he does. The System gives the parameters that the candidates can play with and manipulate to make their "lane" stand out from another, much like a LTC promotion board. I'm sure there is a "standard" that is the bar used, but it us flexible enough to where MAJ Charles Blake can make himself JUST that much different from MAJ Steve Jobs and get the promotion. Superdelegates should go, but all of them from both parties? https://www.bustle.com/articles/141611-does-the-gop-have-superdelegates-the-republican-partys-nomination-rules-are-different-this-year

SSG Warren Swan - for clarity, I'm not a member of either party but I do think that super delegates should go. That's just one of the reasons I'm not a party member.

MAJ Charles Blake - So if you're a member of neither one, then you're one of the few, the quiet, those of us with common sense who get stomped on by MSM

SSG Warren Swan - well, yes. I don't think we're really that few because many former Rs and Ds have gone I out of disgust or disgruntlement of their former party. I'd bet the number of registered party members is drastically lower than it used to be but the people are more divided in their political opinions.

Absolutely. Talk about supporters who dig their feet in and fight to the bitter end no matter the onslaught of facts thrown at them. It's the Monty Python Holy Grail "Black Knight" syndrome.
