Do you think male Soldiers should know the female regulations in AR 670-1 just as much as the female herself?

Absolutely. I remember as a squad leader in the Army, I had a female soldier that came in with studs in her ears. This is against regulation. Her and I both were about to be sent home without drill pay for the day.

SSG Monica Mims (Rhett), Yes, if you are a leader you need to know the regulations that cover those you lead and at the bare minimum you need to know which one covers each topic such as AR 670-1, AR 600-9, DA PAM 670-1, AR 600-8-2 etc. so that you can quickly reference it if you yourself have a question about someone's appearance, etc.

SFC (Join to see) All Leaders need to know the proper wear of uniforms for both genders. Now regular Joes have a hard enough time getting their stuff straight without having to worry about the other gender, so I don't think lower enlisted need to.

SGM I see what you mean, but what about lower enlisted in leadership positions (SPC or sh*t hot PFC in a TM LDR slot)? At that point CPL or no, they should know or have a decent grasp on both sides right?

SSG Warren Swan - That would be covered in the "All Leaders" part Brother. At first I had NCOs but changed it because I had SPC Team Leaders that I made to know both genders.

All SM should know it. I used to tell the lowest ranking person in platoon that if they see an infraction they should do on the spot correction using tact of course

Yes, because you should be able to correct the male and female soldier equally!
