The Delaware State Attorney announced today that there is a lack of evidence to bring criminal charges against Kurt Busch. This was my sticking point with NASCAR reacting to a civil decision before the criminal case was completed. NASCAR hope you like the taste humble pie.

I don't think this will affect NASCAR too terribly much, SGT Jim Z.. I do agree that they acted before all the facts were known. Do you suppose the Ray Rice debacle influenced NASCAR's decision to act so quickly against Kurt Busch? I'll just bet it did.
Domestic violence is a bad crime, but it has also become a cause célèbre. Just being accused of it - especially if you're an athlete or a public figure - is a "death sentence" and the individual seems to be considered guilty until he (or she) can prove his/her innocence. My hope is that the pendulum will stop swinging on this issue and that it will settle somewhere in the reasonable region.

Yes I do believe the NFL's handling of the Ray Rice incident influenced NASCAR's decision and you are probably right that it will not affect NASCAR too bad but maybe they will learn that rushing to a decision before the all investigations were done is not a good thing. I will say one thing in their defense CW5 (Join to see) they had a tough call make.
