Could have? Sure. It's also possible that he could be an alien impostor. He also could be a reptilian overlord. He also could be the head wizard of the illuminati. Or a level 48 Necromancer. Or the reincarnation of Jesus and Buddha's love child. "Could" means any ridiculous things is possible, as nothing is impossible.

I think what really matters is that we need an independent organization, perhaps composed of retired judges, to investigate the crimes of the rich and politically connected. The reason we continue to let politicians commit crimes is because we always demonize the other side while giving a pass to our politicians.

Nixon erased 18 minutes of tape. Clinton erased 33,000 emails. How is it that one resigned and the other gets a pass?

But we have the current system where politicians have legions of lawyers to explain why the law doesn't apply to their client or why their client should get a pass BECAUSE we want our politician to get a pass.

This isn't going to get better until we have ONE set of laws that everyone has to obey.

how is Nixon erasing 18 minutes of tape. a crime the the S.C. said was not right and Clinton erased 33,000 emails. She owned and had a right to delete and no court has ever said was not right. If it was a "real crime" why is the curent "goverment" doing samething about it. There are way to PROVER a crime and one of them is "not" posting BS on this page

MSgt Allen Chandler So your standard of what is right or wrong is based on what a court adjudges, right? So if you suspected your spouse of infidelity, confronted her/him, and she/he immediately ran into the bathroom and deleted 90% of the message on her/his phone, and then said, "I have nothing to hide", that would be OK with you, right?

Why is the current government not doing anything about it? Because they are smarter than you are. No politician wants a law which might be used against them someday. It's similar to the reason why those who wanted the Obama administration to have power to override Congress are now upset. They didn't realize that someone they didn't like might be elected and would use that power in ways they don't like.

I'm not a partisan, because I don't trust any politician.

Partisans can never see anything wrong with their heroes or anything right with anyone else. You should be ashamed to have posted such drivel.

All he would have to do is tell the CIA or FBI director that he was a national security risk and I'm sure the taps would have been done.

Nope, all he had to do was place operatives he could trust to anticipate his wishes and provide plausible deniability. He and the Clintons are way too smart to do something. Even a secret between two people, increases the chance a leak by 50%.

We will never know the truth unless someone like Snowden gives us a clear look at the facts without the rose colored glasses that both parties issue to their members. If this is true, then all those involved need to go down and never ever work for or near the government again. I have lost a lot of respect for the DOJ, FBI and the other intelligence and law enforcement agencies at the FED level. What I once thought were agencies, that worked to help keep us safe and root out criminals, has seemed to be children caught up in school yard drama, lies, undermining legitimate government and using the USC for toilet paper. There seems to be no loyalty to the citizens like us, who pay the bills they make. maybe it is time for a convention of states to put the Feds back in check!

Read the reporting by Sara Carter, John Solomon and the last two books by Dan Bongino. They were doing it and Adm Rogers blew the whistle on Obama and his minions
