Do you think United States would benefit from Government Military Enviromental Humanitarianism?

Thoughts of commandeering repurposing old Navy Technology and Ships Will Power and getting out there in the Pacific Garbage patch and making a statement of United States Exeptionalism. We would only benefit in the best of ways. Whole industries could be spawned from putting that plastic in extrusion form machines creating all sort of products and cleaning at the same time!! What are some others?

Are you proposing to privatize obsolete military equipment for relatively low cost capital investment of private environmental interests to use in clean up and aide operations? Or, do you want the government to expand by keeping this equipment to run it's own clean up and aide operations?
I could support the privatized venture idea.

The private venture idea out of the veteran community would be ideal !! Do you have any experience in such? I am learning to use my VA benefits. I am part of and attend since its inception this veteran entrepreneurship summit that goes in between San Diego and Sacramento 2 times a year for the last 2 years. I am just sharing my thought today seeing what traction it gets. I would invest time energy into it. I am looking again what traction the idea has and the team that can be built.

I wish you the best of luck in your ventures PO3 Aaron Hassay. I think the cause is a good one even if your initial capital investment will be enormous. Have you consulted a grant writer?

SSG Trevor S. - No grant writer to date.I am doing some research first.
This technology looks promising and should be expanded. American Grant Writers to make these would make sense.
I believe I found 2 boat ship technologies and this is 1. I will post the other link.

old: quick ocean cleaner ship remove plastic and oil -v1 - go view new version
--- GO SEE VIDEO OF NEW UPGRADED VERSION 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URy9WSZUyFQ here is my idea of recycling a ship to clean the ocean. Advantages: -...
I can almost always gaurantee that there is someone thinking of virtually the same thing before you or me. So here is another idea.
Do you have history in grant writing? What do you suggest as far as grant writing? Funding on such an idea?

If there is a business model that can make money at this sort of venture and it is private then I am all for it. Navy ships are not cheap to operate and people cannot work for free forever. Even if you can get the ship(s) free, the maintenance costs could be very high.
If you propose we are going to make governments accountable then we should look at where the plastics/garbage in the oceans is coming from. It isn't the US. Below is a story that talks about the ten rivers in the world the vast majority comes from. Perhaps building capture centers at the mouths of these rivers would be time and resources well spent as well.
Also, plastic has many forms. In addition to collecting it, it must be sorted, cleaned and them processed.

Almost all plastic in the ocean comes from just 10 rivers | DW | 30.11.2017
Most of the plastic in our oceans doesn't get dumped there directly, rivers carry it to the sea. As it turns out, a very small number of them do most of the damage.
