This question is for all RallyPoint members, active, reserve, guard, vet and retired!

Do you wear your dog tags daily? Only when your deployed? Only since you got out?

In my own service it is unusual for SM's to wear their's daily. Often they are kept in the mobility folder.

Since getting off Active Duty, I haven’t worn my dog tags and I keep them hanging on my rear view mirror in my Jeep.

I don't wear my dog tags; simply, because I don't have them. Anyone: How would I go about acquiring dog tags? To what Department of the Army would I write/phone? Thank you!

Haven't worn mine since I got out. And when I was in, I'd loop them through my belt loop and put them in my back pocket.

I stopped wearing them when I retired five years ago. But, somehow, someway I was able to keep track of the set that was given to me back in 1992 which were the ones I wore my entire career. I have extras from deployments. Once I went to Airborne School, I started putting them on my right side of the belt loop of my trousers. I had them like that until my last day in the Army.

While I was active duty, If I was outside of my home I had them on. When I left the service, I left then in the OOD duty hut at 2ndMarDiv HQ on the way out the door.

Yes i still ware mine after being involved in a few carwrecks. You realize how important they are . They have your Blood Type on top of the fact that if I'm killed i can be identified wareing them puts me at peace in the remembrance of the people i served with and friends i have lost over the years .
