I'm currently studying at DLI, graduating from the Mandarin course in February. Recently we received a suggestion to try for the Air Force Academy. I've been researching it, and I'm very interested, but I don't want to be here working for a 3/3/2 only to not ever use my language again. So I'm wondering if there are any officer positions that use language. Do FAO's get to use language?

The Air Force has both Intelligence related and foreign area officer positions that I' sure use foreign languages. The son of a former coworker of mine was an officer in Intel that used Arabic languages. Good luck in all your future endeavors! Keep doing your best in all you undertake. If you get a chance to go to the Air Force Academy I don't think you'd ever regret it!
