Does Alabama deserve to be in the College Football playoff instead of OSU?

I say the answer is "NO", SFC (Join to see). In 2016, Nick Saban said "NO" if you weren't conference champs. Now he's changed his tune. He got it rIght the first time. Auburn dealt them out on November 25. They deserve a nice bowl game; nothing more. LTC Kevin B. Capt Gregory Prickett SFC (Join to see)

I saw that. Very unfortunate for Ohio State.
The selection sends a strong signal that it's more important to protect against losses than it is to seek strong wins. If it's really as simple as "Bama has fewer losses", is the committee really THAT simplistic?
I also think the decision has some bias based on Bama's performance in recent years....call it "historical bias" if you will.

I think OSU is more deserving.
If you go by the "strength of the weaknesses", Alabama wins. They have less losses, and their one loss was on the road against a good Auburn team. However, I think this approach is far too simplistic. They haven't been playing good football over the last month because attrition has been grinding them down, especially on defense. Alabama is somewhat regressing, when considering how they look now compared to earlier in the season. If you go by the "strength of the strengths", Ohio State wins. Their wins against Penn State and Wisconsin trump anything Alabama has done this season. Plus, they won their division and their conference championship game, neither of which Alabama did. Ohio State is peaking at the right time.
