Does anyone have a good example of a “decent” battle roster that I may see? I am trying to set my unit up with a decent one and could use some guidance. Thank you in advance.

If you are looking for a Battle Roster to drive casualty reporting, the S1 takes the manning roster And uses the first two letters of the last name and the last four of the social to issue battle roster numbers.

Not sure if you want the battle roster to do something different. If you are talking about a document that matches assigned personnel to deployed tasks and duties, that's different and is HIGHLY contingent on the MTOE, UMR, assigned METL, and mission analysis with 100% visibility of assigned missions and specified, implied, and essential tasks. NCOs in the RIP process have to be included to capture all the soldier tasks like ECP, Force Pro, etc.

Getting someone else's won't help with your mission analysis, organization, and manning.

I guess it’s for pre-deployment purposes. I’m the OPS NCOIC and I want to be able to track, more than just basic, SM info ie... SI, SM data, licenses, or anything you all may think would be useful, that maybe you find out is good to have or not. I know I can just make an excel spreadsheet and just put things down. Coming from a “non-combat” MOS, I’m looking for ideas, or advice, on what everyone thinks is “useful.”
