Does anyone have prior service member experience in going above their recruiter to get correct answers about the prior service program?

I was s PSR a long time ago but I don't think things change too much. The PSR mission is to put prior active Marines into Reserve units. Being a cannon cocker, they would want you in 14th Marines. If you live closer to another reserve center they may want you to lat move to a MOS they need. The best thing to do at this point is to go visit a reserve unit near you. Talk to someone on the I-I staff about the reserve company to see if it would be a fit for you.

That's the idea. My mind is hovering over going army through enlisted as a branch transfer or try CWO prgrom... or maybe put in a package for TACP here in Air force

@sra BRENNAN welL if you talking about going back to basic training you would have to attend if you been out the service more tha 3 years no matter what branch and if you Air Force it navy you got to attend anyway. Right now they still have the prior service basic training but it’s leaving soon and people have to to the 10 weeks.

Contact your navy and marine corps reserve center and ask to speak with the prior service recruiter. That's what I did

I would also like to know this for the air force. I feel as if my recruiters have been pushing me off because they don't want to do the work or something.

I transferred from marines 9.5 years of active and reserve and now am in air force. Went from e6 to e4.
Looking to join army and return to my original mos, field artillery which is army S 13b. I have the mos pme certs. I acquired through the Marines which directly translate to army.
Can I do a pay grade determination waiver?
I being told I can only go in as a e4 cause that's what I currently am now. But I have the PME requirements...

You’ll go in as an E4. We only do grade determinations on current NCO’s. It all depends on how many active years you have. If you have more than 5 years active you will need a waiver due to higher tenure rules which are E4 max of 8 years.

You can reference AR 601-210 chapters 3 and 5. Should help with any additional questions
