Does anyone on this site know of any units leaving for missions? Its so hard to get a job and im chasing deployments like crazy. California National Guard here tells me no one is deploying. I am 11B and i look at T.O.D for Mobs just about every other day but its all for other MOS' s. California budget is drained (from what ive been told), so I cant change MOS. However, I and many other Grunts are quick learners and want to deploy anywhere. Any help would be appreciated. Me and other fellow soldiers are willing to go with other states.

I have been in the Army for almost 6 years and have enjoyed every year. I am honored to be a Non Commissioned Officer and I love to lead Soldiers every day. The problem that I'm having is that I have never been deployed, I have asked multiple times and I always get one or the other answer "we don't need cooks or the unit left before I got there. I think Soldiers should be able to ask to deploy with units that need to fill slots. Anyone have any suggestions or comments?
