I have been trying real hard to stay out of POLITICS....especially here on RP...but after watching the GOP Debate last night I wanted to slap Kasich on the back of his head. He is no better than all of the democrats and the Forced illegal immigration policy.

Kasich said we should just leave them be. That we should not round them up and send them back. Those ILLEGAL Immigrants already here should just be slapped with a FINE and let them stay. That they are LAW ABIDING CITIZENS.

Please tell me...if you are illegally here, how could you possibly be law abiding?

Back when REAGAN was president....when we only had 3 million illegals here as opposed to the ?? 20 million now...the same thing was proposed....They let all of the or a lot of the illegals stay and try to do the right thing and get legal and decided that they would not continue to let illegals into the country...that they would increase border patrols and enforce the laws better.

Well Guess what? After they let them stay, the borders were not more protected, the patrols were not stepped up and immigration laws were NOT enforced and now here we are with a gazillion more living here and Kasich and Obama and the Democrats want to just let this go and sweep it under the carpet.

My mother, three of her sisters, my great grandparents on my fathers side and many other relatives were immigrants...BUT! They did it the right way. I feel and believe everyone should do it the right way. We should enforce the laws. PERIOD!

Yeah, I don't think so.

Ok, I've said my two cents.
What do you say?

If Kasich and Bush had any conservative followers before the debate, they are gone now, for this reason and many others that are anathema to us.

SOS, there is no one with a bit of sense and an understanding of what it would take to send millions home that are here illegally. That is the boogey man set up by the "open borders" crowd. What needs to happen is enforce existing laws regarding the employment of illegals (from any where, including overstays). Also if that is not practical in the short term, determine how much it costs the local communities that pick up the freight for these illegals, and fine/tax them for their share of the cost. If we continue holding out a gold ring with no limitations, everyone around the globe will be here to catch it. When we have a nation with nearly 40% of the available population unemployed/underemployed, there is no reason to bring in more workers. IF, it is necessary, only through a worker temporary worker's VISA, with the provisions to track anyone using such a VISA. For those of you that are interested, read the TPP Deal/Treaty, chapters 10 & 12 to see how our politicians are selling us out again.

I feel it's neccesary to secure our borders, prevent and discourage illegals from entering, find those that are here illegally and deport them, and fix our imigration proccess.

My mother came to this country from the U.K. with a green card. She had to get it updated every two years for the better part of 40 years. After congress changed the rules for recieving Social Security she decided to become a naturalized citizen. That proccess took nearly five years! Meanwhile, certain political hopefuls in Southern California, after changing their names to sound Hispanic, and with the help of bureaucratic political allies, expidited potential voters through the proccess. That individual won a congressional seat. Later, it was determined that many of those that were quickly naturalized had disqualifying circumstances.

The process, like so many others in this country, has been slowly and purposely overburdened with excessive regulation. It requires thousands of dollars in legal assistance to become naturalized. A make jobs department for bureaucrats and lawyers.
