Being in the National Guard and transfer from unit to unit mostly for promotional reasons... the unit I am in now is awesome when it comes to the "army" stuff us "POGs" don't get to do that often. Since May I have done Land Nav (which I LOVE) repelled at two different places, and a few other things...
I missed it, when I joined in 2003, the commercials saw guys repelling out of helicopters and all this hooah stuff...
Makes you want to stay with the unit you are in and boost up moral.

Hell yeah! I'm 46 and want to rappel now! If I can do kickboxing and Muay Thai this will be great!

SFC (Join to see), awesome. I'm with you on all of it. Fortunately, I'm attached to a Cav unit who gets to do hooah* stuff. I hope you get more opportunities, too. Isn't it great?!

LT ROSA have you ever been up here at St. Francisville...It's a beautiful small town on the Mighty MISSISSIPPI RIVER....forever they had a ferry from st francisville to new roads on the other side of the mississippi river about 5 years ago they built a very nice bridge across the river and they dedicated the bridge to two giants of the marine corps both were commandants 1 lived right outside st fancisville about 4 miles and the other lived outside new roads (general robert barrows and john a Lejuene)

I think hooah stuff can be found at every post and in every unit. SGT's Time was MY time to play with the troops and I would do sling ops, air assaults, land nav, all kinds of hooah stuff. If you give other units enough time, they can coordinate aviation assets for you, piggy back ranges with them, the sky is the limit. Make your own unit hooah.
