AAFES is only the best deal when something goes on clearance. Then you can get a steal, otherwise I never really used them unless for convenience.

Take a look locally. The Exchange is not always the best deal. Any larger town is going to have a variety of furniture stores.

The exchange has (or used to) a price match guarantee. Bring the ad from the local store in and they should match it. I did it 2 years ago to furnish a new home and it saved me some cabbage. Delivery time was not bad. Maybe a week.
Think about taxes also. You will pay 7-10% off base.
