I was told by my psychiatrist that I will gain weight if I take Seroquel.

Has anyone going the same problem?

I don't take that medication myself, but a quick Google search reveals that weight gain/increased appetite is one of the possible side effects:

If you are concerned with weight gain, I would suggest eating more low calorie foods like vegetables, salads, etc. Is that your main concern, weight gain?

Regardless, I hope the medication helps the reason your doctor prescribed it for! Good luck brother!

Thanks for the info. I work out a lot but I still have gained unwanted weight.

Maybe get an appointment with the nutritionist/dietitian at your local VA to come up with a new diet?
One thing I did after some unwanted weight gains was to get a pedometer and start counting my steps taken every day, and try to keep that number at 10,000 or higher. That was in addition to any working out I did. Gotta squeeze that cardio in any way we can!

It would depend on your age and metabolism likely. My son was on Suzie Q's for a while but youth and activity didn't offset some gain. He did gain more weight afterwards but that again would be more food than combustion.
