@SFC Jonathan Muniz - Depending on your report date and assuming you graduate DSA, you can roughly guess hitting the trail at about 70 days from when you step over to the Dark Side.
Does anyone know the proper steps to putting in a packet for Drill Sergeant School? I know the first answer is talk to branch but he will not move me at all because of stabilization I always thought putting in for any kind of special duties or officer schools trumped that. Is there anyway that I can still put a packet in even though I'm stabilized?

You can submit a packet at any time; however, your branch will have be willing to release you before the DS Team attempts to conduct your background check and enroll you into DSS.

SGT (Join to see) - Creating the packet is fairly simple and straightfoward. However, beware that DSA changes some of the forms, etc and may make you submit the updated versions at the schoolhouse.

Ok Thanks 1SG and SFC ill get on it and make sure I get in contact with the DSA to get the proper versions of the paperwork and hopefully my branch manager will release me to pursue this goal.

I called my branch (74d-chemical) and she didn't know who put me in for it either. I keep hearing that the gaining unit isn't airborne so no one knows why I was put on...
