WHO IS THE BEST LEADER, MANAGER, OR COMMANDER YOU EVER WORKED FOR?
Mine was my Mentor/Commander (RET) Colonel John P. Edwards. He was my Commander at the 357th Aviation Detachment, SHAPE, Belgium and inspired me to become an officer and finish college, and reach for the STARS.

Best officer I ever worked for was LTG Harold G Moore. I commanded Co. A, 1st Bn, 7th Cavalry under his command during the battle of LZ X Ray and others. He is smart, courageous, cares deeply for his soldiers and tough, both physically and in maintaining standards.

My Vietnam-era commander: Lt. General Paul W. Myers, who became the AF Surgeon General. We remained friends even after I was discharged. He invited me to his office in D.C. as my former commander and friend. He has passed away, but I still remember his “open-door policy” which afforded me the opportunity to discuss hospital matters with him at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas during my war and peacetime years.
