There is a long list of candidates outside of the DNC and the RNC, so I have linked an article. The question is simple, if there were no RNC or DNC candidates, who would you pick from the "outsiders?" This is just for fun so smile and have fun with it.

If there was no RNC candidate, i'd go with Gary Johnson, Libertarian Party. Heck, the rate things are going with this election, he might end up being my choice anyway...lol

PO1 Brian Austin he is currently my first choice. I lived in NM when he was governor. When he said he was going to get rid of the state deficit people laughed. When he said he would do it without adding taxes, people thought he was nuts. When it happened people didn't know what to think.

PO3 Steven Sherrill - Imagine that, a politician keeping their word. I can only imagine how stunned people were...lol

PO1 Brian Austin - Pretty much. He also made comments about it not being government's purpose to create jobs rather to create an environment in which industry can create jobs.

I looked through the slate of 3rd party candidates in the link you posted PO3 Steven Sherrill and it was none of the above on that list. My preferred candidate right now is Ted Cruz; but< will vote for the most conservative candidate who is left. My first priority is social conservatism, with second priority being fiscal conservatism. I am pro-life, in favor of a flat tax and reduction in government spending through reduction in HHS and dramatic scale backs to the Federal Department of Education with most functions being returned to the states

LTC Stephen F. I can respect that. My problem with Cruz is his evangelical leanings. I really am a firm believer that we need to scrap most of the stupidity and get back to following the Constitution as Rule of Law rather than Washington TP. Right now I am firmly on board with a candidate who is on the list. I am so disillusioned with our current quagmire that I really want to see the two party system tear itself apart. Unfortunately, I am really afraid for who takes the brunt of that fall: Us the American People.

PO3 Steven Sherrill - so far many of us have been clinging to survival in many senses in the POTUS Obama regime; but, by the grace of God I am still alive.

LTC Stephen F. - I agree, it has been wear a helmet, you decide which head to protect, duck and cover. Sadly it is not just Obama. It is the congress that has said we would rather get nothing accomplished than admit that the other side (both democrats and republicans) might have a good idea. I really wish as a nation we could hold a recall election, clean all of the jackbags out of DC, and elect a new POTUS, Senate, and House. While candidates are banned from identifying with a political party. Candidates would be required to run on principle. All fund would have to be raised from individual donors, and donations would be limited to $500 per person per candidate. That way no one person can donate their way to special favors. Violation would be punished by ten days in jail for each dollar over 500 the person donates to an individual candidate. so a $1000 donation would give you 5000 days in jail or almost fourteen years for violating the rule. No parole, no probation, no appeal, just you broke the rule, you do the time. You would see ultra rich people donating to all of the candidates just for the tax reduction. Finally a fine for any untrue advertising. An attack add that does not contain only factual information gets the advertiser a fine, now lets see how willing they are to attack an opponent with lies. See how quick they are to tout how great they are when that too could lead to huge fines.
Okay so now that I am done daydreaming, I am going to ride off into the sunset on my unicorn, which is just as likely to happen as real campaign reform.
