This video was sent to us by a lady out of the Reno, Nevada area. This guy was walking around pretending he was a Marine. When asked for his name he responded that, "He was on High Alert, and couldn't give that out."
He then said he was a member of the 3rd Battalion, 26th Marines, which have been deactivated sine 1970. The Marines do have a 26th MEU(Marine Expeditionary Unit), but it doesn't have a 3rd Battalion.
He was trying to get a discount on or a free venue for his wedding using the claims.

Unfortunately there's no law that prohibits a civilian from wearing a complete uniform nor pretending to be military

First off, "Marines are not supposed to wear their working cammies out in public AT ALL unless it is
a dire emergency" as of 2007 as I researched. Second, for any one to be recalled after separating from the military after an active duty tour are in a 2-4 year recall window depending on the service. third. that 80's Mash/ Rambo uniform have long since been phased out.

Well, I WANTED to serve, but was denied the opportunity to do so due to being on anticonvulsants at the time of the recruiter's visit. (That was 1980,BTW.)
The uniforms I have worn since that time have been that of The Alabama Department of Corrections, EMT-Basic thru Paramedic, and now RN.
I truly hate the idea of anyone comparing themselves to those who don't sleep at night so my family and I can.
But, I tend to agree that this gentleman has real deep-seated issues.

The first thing I noticed is a full-color patch, which I can't identify, on an old Army BDU. I can guess why he thinks it belongs there, but what is that patch? It's too fuzzy for me to see.

If you’re not gonna offer rewards and immunity for scalps than STFU. Not gonna be a fucking hall monitor.

PO2 David Allender
I know that there have been those type ever since Nam, and not all have a mental problem. There has been a book "Stolen Valor" by B.G. Burkett & Glenna Whitley.. There have been movie stars who have claimed to have been in Nam, and some of them have been listed in the above mentioned books.I was hoping that the fade was finished, but I stand corrected. I guess that as long as young people serve in combat, some one will ste4al their valor for some stupid reason. The best we can hope for is that they will be found out and turned over to the proper authorities. We who have served will keep our earned VALOR.
