Col Lindsey Graham (USAFR Ret.) announced is entrance into the Presidential elections. What does RP think of his chances? Do you personally support him?

How do you go 30+ years in uniform but never have deployed???? Is that an Air Force thing? (Legitimate question, not being a smart ass, it just amazes me knowing Army deployments ... And I'm mostly unfamiliar with AF deployments). I read he was legal or lawyer in Iraq or Afghanistan, don't remember, but he stated he never deployed and got crap for once claiming to be a combat vet without going to war.

Heres the explanation. He was a lawyer in the AF. Lawyers never deploy anywhere. That "stint" the article claims he did in iraq and afghanistan? Yea no. He was there only for days.

He won't go far, sadly. Most Americans don't know him, or can't name one of their own senators. But, they know who the Kardashians are! :(

I don't know, WO Lee Jewell, at this point it wouldn't surprise me if some people were willing to roll the dice on the Kardashians... (heh!)

He's a bit late to actually get on the ballot. Also he is an oathbreaker who supports the Patriot Act.

I don't know too much about him. I like Ben Carson. I also like Ted Cruz, base on his Christian beliefs, and love for this country. Other than those two, I don't know. I would like someone who has served, and commanded troops.

I don't necessarily think that military service should be a requirement. With that said, the only Republican I can see myself supporting (I'm a Libertarian) is Rand Paul based mostly on his stance against the Patriot Act.
I looked into Ben Carson but is is pro-gun control.

John McCain was USAF too. What a disappointment that guy turned out to be. Both Bushes were military, Reagan was DoD civilian. Looks like the only "leaders" w/o military in the past 30 yrs have been Carter, Clinton, and Obama. I'm noticing a trend here.

PVT (Join to see), McCain was Navy, Regan was Army "Special Services" meaning that because of his civilian occupation as an actor he was billeted to "star in" Army training films.
Carter was also Navy. In fact he has a submarine named after him.

Oh, dang! You got me. I missed that. But then, again, does Navy really count as "military?" Hahaha...sigh...jk
