As recent as a week ago, I got a FitBit Charge, I've been always skeptical about these trackers but it was a gift and I gave it a try. Well, I can say that I got the FitBit Fever, now I'm walking everywhere around! That 10,000 steps mark is my goal everyday! And let's not talk about the Challenges! You can create challenges and invite people to compete with you. I do like PT but this last week I ran more than 15 miles, definitely a personal record. If you ever see a coworker walking in the same place, or walking up and down the hallway, odds are is using a FitBit and is in a Challenge. I used to be a Polar user because of their simplicity but after FitBit, there's nothing that can be simpler than that.

For those who are actively using their FitBits, I just found this group: https://www.fitbit.com/group/228RZQ JOIN US!
Do you have the FitBit Fever? Wich one you use? Do you use any other tracker? Share what you use?

Nope. Cant say I am partaking. There may have been a time but I weight things in the balance... Could my money be better used elsewhere. The answer is always yes.

As I said, it was a gift and I was skeptical, but it has helped me to get more active. Everything spent on health is always well invested.

I did see you said it was a gift.
There does come a point when buying for the purported health benefits becomes a bit excessive. I can get a better ROI by mapping out a running route on Google Maps.
Also, my four kids need that money for clothes and food more than I do for fitness.

My new civilian employer has a program that is geared toward getting their folks in shape. You earn points for healthy eating, workouts and such. Staying on track supposedly gets you a discount on your gym membership and can even earn you a discount on health insurance costs next year. The points can be used to by things on the "mall" including Fitbit stuff. It looks like this may be my next step.

I think everything motivates you to do more and be more active is worth a try. I'm in love with this new thing.

What, are you selling the thing?
. . .I'll take 3.
Seriously, it sounds awesome. I'm not familiar with it myself.

I don't sell it, although I think it would be a good business since it hasn't gone full blast. But it's a great tool to keep the motivation up.

PO2 Terry Proctor my LG G3 comes with pedometer but I can't use it in my building so it wasn't as accurate as the watch.
