3037640 slide p 1 the fitbit surge
As recent as a week ago, I got a FitBit Charge, I've been always skeptical about these trackers but it was a gift and I gave it a try. Well, I can say that I got the FitBit Fever, now I'm walking everywhere around! That 10,000 steps mark is my goal everyday! And let's not talk about the Challenges! You can create challenges and invite people to compete with you. I do like PT but this last week I ran more than 15 miles, definitely a personal record. If you ever see a coworker walking in the same place, or walking up and down the hallway, odds are is using a FitBit and is in a Challenge. I used to be a Polar user because of their simplicity but after FitBit, there's nothing that can be simpler than that.

For those who are actively using their FitBits, I just found this group: https://www.fitbit.com/group/228RZQ JOIN US!

Do you have the FitBit Fever? Wich one you use? Do you use any other tracker? Share what you use?

My husband and I really like our FitBits, but I need a low tech option for buildings that don't allow wifi capable devices. Do they make Ranger Beads that long yet? ;)

As I said in other response, NSA sells FitBits for their building. I really don't know how they would tell the diference between the one they sell and the others but at least they have an option. Mine is the Charge, is one step above the entry level, I won't have problem with this one. I hope, Ma'am.

I bought my first FitBit, a FitBit One around March 2014. My wife bought one too. It instantly became the subject of a fun competition between us, with her winning the day more times that not. In January 2015 I carelessly I lost my One and ordered an HR Connect. I still don't have it, but FitBit swears it is on the way. I've used the Health App on my iPhone since, bit it is not as good, or as portable. Anything that can help keep your healthier, and not be too intrusive, is a good idea.

One thing that surprised me is that NSA sells them in their store. Since they have GPS capabilities, the Surge, I thought they wouldn't be allowed in a SCIF but if you buy it there you can use it in the building.

This practice surprises me somewhat. From the late 1980s to the early 2010s, anyplace I went with any communications device, from pager to cell phone, I had to place it in a secured bin prior to entering any SCIF. I like the policy even though it makes someone out of contact for a while. I think the safety of not divulging data in error is worthwhile.

I have a fitbit charge HR. It is a great tool to help with your workout. I even like how it monitors my sleep, providing me with a base point to make habit changes (not just in sleep, but in my exercises and so on).

The monitor sleep is something that got me going to bed earlier! Incredible.

I have a surge and I love it. My work schedule is very chaotic and often interferes with my workout routine and sleep. The tracking features make me aware of the cumulative lack of sleep and exercise that I previously dismissed. It's also helpful to see the immediate impact of those two issues on my resting heart rate. It's also very cool that since they added the biking update I can see my route, speed, and heart rate at various points of my ride.

That's why I'm thinking on the upgrade to Surge, I have the Charge.

For $250 I gave it a lot of thought for a while. I purchased it on the REI website and will get $25 back at the end of the year as a co-op member. I think it was money well spent.

Not yet, but my wife has one now and really likes it --- which probably means that there is one in my future!

James Bond would be so jealous! Just as long as they don't mandate this technology on service members, I'll be OK

I'm an aspiring triathlete, and have run one marathon, two half-marathons, and am signed up for the MCM in DC. I use a Garmin for running, but I have a FitBit HR that I wear all the time. It tracks my heart rate while riding and swimming, which is a big way I monitor my training intensity. I like it! But there's a new gadget called the Moov coming out that looks neat, too.

CW2 (Join to see) I just gave it a look and it does look pretty neat.
http://welcome.moov.cc/ The only thing is that, when you get into something, sometimes is hard to give up like the FitBit.

SGT(P) (Join to see), that's a good point! But I like that moov because it tracks swimming, then syncs with the phone once back in range. That's handy. And it will track pedal cadence on the bike, so I wouldn't have to buy a cycling computer. I'm still debating. That pre-order deal is pretty good.

Love my Flex... Have a group of about 20 friends who are constantly competing on step and mileage goals while talking smack.

I use Air Sense 10 with a Fisher & Paykel Simplus mask. C-Pap. Measures my sleep down to the minute and tells me in their own weird way how many apnic/hypopnic events I have per hour over the course of the night's sleep. That other stuff....that sounds like exercise....something I am trying very hard to avoid for fear of breaking down further then I already am now!

This one shows you a pretty nice graphic of how many times you were "restless", awake, tells you how long it took you to fall asleep. I really like it Sir.
