Camp Edwards D Co 2nd Med Bn, changed to Co C 296th SB (Fwd) at the time the forward most deployed and only combat ready unit in the US Army. 1989-1990 As I understand, Camp Edwards was closed in 1992 and the 296th was reorganized at Ft. Lewis (JBLM now) when 3rd Bde was sent to Ft. Lewis

2nd BDE is at Lewis, left Korea in 2004. 1st BDE just deactivated in Korea on July 1st! 4th BDE at Lewis was redesignated as 1st BDE there. No line Brigades left, all rotational now for 9 months.

Yea I've kept up with that, I understand the logic train together, unit cohesion, etc. But there was something about coming in as an E-1 fresh from AIT private and having a older soldier take you under their wing and show you the ropes, I did the same my last few months...

Thanks for the photo. Brought back memories of Tong-Du-Chon! I remember running to Hovey, around the ville, to camp castle then back to gate 1 for the Division Run.

I was stationed at Stanley from 90-91.
I had a great tour while in the country. I enjoyed my time there and was able to see some interesting things.

87-88 was at Stanley B 4-7 Cav, the last of the Army's Blues Platoons! Besides being injured on the DMZ that year while on patrol. I enjoyed the tour! Songsan-ni was a good and fun ville at the time! :-)
