Frat boys spit on wounded vet, urinate on American flag! What are your thoughts?

Here is an article that has infuriated me beyond comprehension. It is not the content but the actions of the individuals who perpetrated the act. Veterans we have a voice it is time we use it within our government. Do you fellow veterans realize that less than 15% of congress has served in the military. Do you want to know why our voices never get heard. Now the younger generations of this great nation are treating our veterans who have bled for this nation and in cases died for this nation with disrespect and distaste. An Oh what about the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff trivializing the losses of life and limb it took to secure Ramadi. It kills me when one of our own, the senior leader within the military, trivializes the losses our military have taken during the most recent wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. If that were done to Bastogne or Normandy there would have been serious repercussions. Here only a letter of apology to a mother who had the guts to stand up and say what was in her heart.

I will put this article on my Facebook page as well. I know my ex girlfriend her son started getting kind of rowdy her brother is a drill sergeant in the army she set him down there when he was 16 I told her brother to do whatever it takes he came back that fall and he was yes mam no mam yes sir no sir and I've never seen him so well behaved. maybe these kids need to spend a few weeks with a good drill sergeant preferably one with breath so bad you have a heart I'm not passing out with him yelling at you.

First of all these idiots, college boys have no idea what Price was paid for their freedom of speech and I doubt very much that any of them have any backbone or Pride and Courage to serve Our Country in any branch of service. These idiots are very lucky that Marine veterans from past wars don't start sniping at them and do a job on them. I'm glad I don't live in Florida and I doubt I will ever see the place. I wish Everybody had to do a 2yr in a branch of the service. They would appreciate there freedom and respect their vets. just my opinion

There are no words to properly express the rage that builds in most of us when we see a fellow vet and our flag disrespected. I can't comprehend why you would ruin your nations flag. Then you disrespect someone you sacrificed more than you ever will in your lifetime for your freedom and you spit on him?! I try to chalk it up as straight ignorance. Kids these days just have no freaking clue about anything our nation stands for and the things we sacrifice to fight for people like that. Absolutely sad.

I would be getting locked up if I saw some one piss on the flag. The frat's national office is doing in investigation and those responsible will be getting expelled from the frat. I think community service at Malcom Randall VA Medical Center would be a good punishment - empty a million bedpans should do the trick.

Thought would definitely be jail time for the assault if the spit actually landed on that veteran or person then you have battery (The definitions vary by state)

It's best if I don't post my real thoughts here but further action needs to be taken to at least punish these individuals.
