Accounting Manager
Primary areas of responsibility

Supervises and directs work of Accounts Payable Associates, Account Receivable Associates, Accounting Associates
Responsible for the recruiting, training, and performance management and development of finance associates
Completes monthly close duties and schedules in a timely manner
Interact with Accountants, and finance leads in terms of monthly close activities, including journal entries, monthly schedules and reconciliation work
Make recommendations to management to improve profitability
Identify opportunities to control costs and reduce expenses
Prepare and file local tax returns
May oversee and manage the payroll activities of local business
Participate in shrink committee.
Education

Minimum Required:

Associates Degree in Finance or Accounting

Experience

Minimum Required:

5 years of accounting experience required, preferably with 1+ year leading others

Skills

Minimum Required:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Must be able to read, write and speak English

• Must be able to analyze data and draw logical conclusions and recommendations from the data

• Ability to lead and direct clerical positions

• Proficient computer skills with emphasis on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Job: Bid Coordinator/ Project Manager, Pay: $50,000-$65,000
Location: Washington, DC


Job description:
The Bid Coordinator will coordinate and produce proposals and bid documents in support of electrical contractors. This role requires the highest levels of attention to detail and an ability to work under pressure and to demanding deadlines. The Project Manager manages key contractor projects. The PM responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget and within scope. The PM would oversee all aspects of the project, set deadlines and communicate with contractors, vendors, suppliers and end-customers. PM would develop excel spread sheets and charts to manage all projects to completion. The candidate will be experienced in reading and developing an electrical bill of material and the use of eclipse distributor software. The ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of electrical construction drawings and specifications. The candidate should be familiar with communicating with electrical contractors, estimators and project managers. The desired candidate would have a working knowledge and be familiar with division 26 electrical specifications and be able to read E-000 construction drawings. The desired candidate should be familiar with Solar Eclipse.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5-10 years of related experience.
High school diploma or equivalent work experience required.
Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and PC skills are required.
Familiarity with Eclipse Software preferred.
College courses in sales, marketing, or business administration are preferred.
Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, personable, extroverted personality, well organized.
Deadline and detail-oriented are a must
