Rental House / Cinema QC Technician

Our busy Rental House in LA is seeking a full time QC Technician Manager to join our staff. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic, hard working individual to participate in our exciting and fast paced industry. This position is a fantastic opportunity to Segway into the professional world of production and cinematography.

-Rental house experience necessary
-Strong working knowledge of cinema cameras, lenses, camera support, wireless follow focus systems, wireless video transmitters, monitors, and gimbals
-Experience with technical troubleshooting and comfort with client facing support if necessary
-Experience with sensor, cover glass, and lens cleaning
-Great time management skills and a sense of urgency and prioritization
-Cable repair experience preferred
-Understanding of back focus adjustment preferred

Responsibilities:

-Test all returned gear for functionality and identify any damage caused by client
-Keep gear clean and well maintained
-Identify and track necessary repairs of gear
-Troubleshoot escalated technical issues on the floor with prep techs
-Investigate any client technical complaints upon return

Requirements for the successful applicant:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of relevant rental house experience required
1+ years of experience as a Rental Prep Tech or related work experience preferred
Experience and knowledge with digital cinema cameras, lenses, and accessories
Technical proficiency with camera gear compatibility & troubleshooting
Ability to efficiently and effectively coordinate and work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a highly deadline-driven environment
Ability to smoothly adapt to changing priorities
Extreme focus on accuracy, attention to detail, consistency and follow-through of work
Excellent time management, organizational skills
Exceptional communication (verbal and written) skills
Self-motivated, positive attitude, high energy with a willingness to accept varied assignments
Ability to work autonomously as well as in group setting
Ability to lift 70lbs
We offer competitive compensation and benefits package commensurate with work experience. This position will pay a salary of $55,000 to $65,000 depending upon experience.
