FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Positions Supervised: None Last Revision: 2/3/23 Amount of Travel Required: No Travel Required Salary Grade: PN1-PN2
POSITION SUMMARY Assemble pre-manufactured components from stock and fabricate custom products per job orders. This is a low-volume, high-mix job shop.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
• Assemble pre-manufactured components and parts from stock to complete required job orders.
• Fabricate custom products from pre-manufactured Urethane and PVC fabric materials and parts to engineered specifications per job orders.
• Utilize material slitters, RF (Radio Frequency) and heat seaming equipment and other specialized equipment, procedure manuals and general fabrication job orders.
• Perform a variety of hand assembly and/or machine operations associated with the manufacturing of custom hose assemblies.
• Utilize coupling machines and other specialized equipment, procedure manuals and general assembly job orders.
• Assemble mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies using hand tools, electrical and pneumatic power tools per specified procedures and assembly job orders.
• Adhere to all safety regulations including wearing of proper safety equipment.
• Complete all necessary job paperwork and quality control documentation.
• Assist in counting of physical inventory.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.
PRIMARY COMPETENCIES
• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to operate, maintain and use forklift trucks, cranes, turntables, and other equipment used in the assembly process and movement of materials, finished product and packaged shipments around the shop and on/off trucks
• Good mechanical aptitude, basic reading, and math skills
• Perform work accurately and thoroughly
• Adapt to changing business needs, conditions, and work responsibilities
PREFERRED COMPETENCIES
• Inventory management knowledge
• Sales order review knowledge
• Quality control knowledge
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Perform repetitive lifting/moving of 50+ pounds
