Duties and Responsibilities:

• Initially, 100 % of efforts will be directed toward sales activities to familiarize potential clients and sell the professional services offered by WTS. The sales process will include responding to Requests for Proposals (competitive bids) and presenting to Local Government staff, management, and governing bodies. Sales activities will become the second priority as support requirements grow for established clients. The more clients you have, the more consistent your revenue will become.
• After the sale, support will comprise documenting and configuring the local government’s desires and unique requirements into a Local Ordinance and defining the online system parameters to match the Local Government’s preferences and Ordinance.
• Following implementation—and as applications appear in the online application review process—the support activities begin and are driven by the wireless industry activities in the local jurisdiction.
• Application reviews, when submitted, become the highest priority and involve reviewing the details of wireless carriers’ applications to ensure that all aspects of the applications’ components are consistent and meet local ordinance requirements. Total time to review an application should be from 2-5 hours depending on the type of application under review and your skill levels. Comprehensive training and support will be provided to ensure WTS professional standards are followed.

Skills:

• Retired or disabled military personnel or retired local government employees may have a higher potential to succeed.
• Advanced training or degrees in electrical, mechanical engineering, or computer related fields enhance the professional services offered by WTS. Specific telecommunications training or Professional Engineering credentials are a plus.
• Must be computer and applications literate, as most activities will be conducted via computer-based communications tools and applications.
• Must be able to communicate confidently in public and private meetings to make effective presentations.
• Must be able to relate with clients and maintain ongoing, professional relationships.

Competencies:

• Display effective leadership, teamwork, flexibility, communications, and the initiative to continually grow a client base and improve WTS professional services.
• Have a strong desire to run your own business and control your work schedule.

Relationship:

• The successful applicant would be an Independent Contractor and an Authorized Representative of WTS’s professional services.
• The Regional Director reports through WTS’s staff member responsible for Sales and Marketing.
• The Regional Director will work with and be supported by WTS Corporate offices for billing, A/R, and A/P functions.
• The Regional Director is the direct WTS contact for all clients and applicants in their region and answers any questions regarding the application processes.
• To succeed, the Regional Director works with and is supported by WTS technical support personnel, as required, to enhance their expertise or seek answers to questions that are beyond the Director’s current knowledge and skill levels.

Compensation:

• Compensation is 100% driven by the Applicant’s abilities to sell and retain clients (local government entities.)
• Compensation is a very high percentage of the total revenues. Remaining revenues cover licensing, operating, sales and marketing expenses.
• The successful candidate must be capable of supporting and covering expenses while completing a local government’s procurement and implementation cycle of anywhere from 3-6 months.
• Pro-forma revenue potential will be provided to qualifying candidates during the interview process.
The successful Regional Director will have the opportunity to expand to one or more other neighboring regions if they are available.
