Hello, my people! I was recently asked to provide input on an NCOER we're writing for an E-6 who recently transferred to our shop. His losing unit did not write him an outgoing NCOER, so of course it falls on us to pick up the pieces.
The losing unit sang his praises, offering gushing adoration for this guy. But when we pressed them for bullets, they were unable to come up with anything concrete. Their failure to point to specific accomplishments more or less matches our observation of him.
He's a guy that would probably do well if we still had SP6 as a rank. So when my counterpart (his new rater) asked for bullets, this was my tongue-in-cheek reply:
* Can successfully inhale and exhale in sequence without supervision
* Routinely laces boots without causing loss of circulation to feet
* Surfs social media on his cellphone better than any other E-6 I've observed
* Maintains steady temperature in whatever chair he is occupying
So I thought I'd throw this topic out to all of you. Any humorous evaluation comments you've seen, or wish you could've included in writing one? Please share!

I've got nothing for you except to say, shame on his losing unit. If he was a good NCO they did him a disservice by not doing an NCOER; if he was a bad NCO they did his gaining unit a disservice by not doing an NCOER.

o He would be out of his depth in a car park puddle.
o This officer reminds me very much of gyroscope -- always spinning around at a
frantic pace, but not really going anywhere.
o This medical officer has used my ship to carry his genitals from port to port,
and my officers to carry him from bar to bar.
o Since my last report, he has reached rock bottom and has started to dig.
o She sets low personal standards and then consistently fails to achieve them.
o He has the wisdom of youth and the energy of old age.
o This officer should go far, and the sooner he starts, the better.
o Works well when under constant supervision and cornered like a rat in a trap.
o This man is depriving a village somewhere of an idiot
o If brains were dynamite he would not have enough to blow his nose
o Constantly sets high goal and never reaches them

WASHINGTON – Tonight, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R.4685 to rename the United States Post Office at 515 Hope Street in Bristol, as the “First Sergeant P. Andrew McKenna Jr. Post Office.” Sergeant McKenna served in the U.S. Army for 17 years, during which time he completed five tours in Afghanistan and one in Iraq. He was killed in August 2015 while defending Camp Integrity from a Taliban attack.

I had one that was similar:
o maintained 100% accountability for his assigned equipment; he lost it all, but he paid for all of it within three paychecks

I had to help my First Sergeant come up with positions 'Best Suited' for an NCO that was getting kicked out (long story). I offered up R&U NCO :)

I had a Major ask me for bullet comments for my own NCOER, once. I gave him one-
"This Master Sergeant's dashing good looks and razor sharp intellect are only surpassed by the prodigious length of his reproductive organ."
I knew when he grabbed it out of the In Box as I heard him laughing. He did not ask again, and it was not on my report.

I had a Plt Sgt hand me my blank NCOER so i filled in the admin data and gave it back, kinda normal. But he wanted me to fill out the eval part too. I checked in meets the standard down the line and gave it back to him again. He glanced at it and asked wherecthe bullets were. When i pointed out that meets standard requires no bullets he asked me..."dont you think you did better than that?" I replied that he must think that I did better, so maybe he should write the eval. We did not get along well seeing heing expected me to do my job and his too. I didn't stay in that Company too long.
