German soldiers mock Tom Cruise after he said his job is just as hard as fighting in Afghanistan

A while ago, the actor was quoted saying his job was just as hard as fighting overseas. This was the response from German soldiers when they caught wind of his comments.

"Tom Cruise? Never heard of her!"

I don't keep up with pop culture much, but that's an interesting thing for him to have said. However, I think the rebuttal from the Germans is wrong. Instead of "her," the sign should have read "it." Calling Tom Cruise a female is disparaging to females everywhere...
