I remember when GI Joe was one guy, and then they came out with the black version...I had them both. Them, and a Big Jim "action figure"

I had an AAA battery of model rockets (that you build from scratch and launched with disposable rocket engines) and inside I had the army men with small parachutes that would fall to earth. I would have small Army bases throughout a dirt field and see which's base could be infiltrated by the paratroopers. I had army guys, not a lot of friends. I wanted to be in the military since I was conceived. Now, it is Call of Duty on PS4 and no one plays any more. If these hands worked better, I'd be doing it too (jealous).

I was never much of a GI Joe fan, mainly because I wasn't exposed to it as much, but toy soldiers on the other hand, those were the best. Playing with the ones with the parachutes, throwing them down the stairs or trying to throw them as high as I possibly could to watch it slowly fall back down to me. Or lining them up at the top of the laundry chute, shooting them off one by one with my rubber band gun. Good memories with my toy soldiers.

SGT (Join to see) Well I was giving my soldiers SHARP training before we had women in the Army (MY Army) LOL. I was ahead of my time.

I had both, although I had way more green army men than GI Joes (those tended to be expensive). Used have epic battles with those little dudes...

I had both because an aunt had bought the GI Joe for me so that when I stayed at her house I had something to do because she had 2 girls. But I loved the army men. A friend and I used firecrackers to blow up airplanes, tanks and jeeps plus make bomb depressions in a huge sand box.

SrA Rex Brown The coolest thing is breaking their heads (bored) but mostly not just the different kinds of soldier with bayonets and the guy on the ground. I also had the little gas stations back when they were full service and the miniature steering wheel. Hahaha

I had them all when I was a kid, if it had anything to do with the military I had it or needed it. G.I. Joes, and the little green Army men, were all over our house and back yard. I used to take the ones that had the parachutes and toss them out of trees, to see how far they could/would go. Which lead to a lot of them being stuck on the roof, or other branches that I couldn't get to.

SFC(P) (Join to see) - You could light them up with firecrackers too. And those WWII style helmets. I bet they made a lot of money on them? Did you have a lot of hotwheels?

Not only green army men, but I'd dig trenches, use small pebbles as sandbags and twigs for overhead cover. Then, the Daisy 880 with 4x scope and I would spend the day calling in fire missions. Destined for greatness....lol

SFC Mark Merino - We had such cool toys and they were interactive, I even put some in prison and love the sandbag idea. If I am ever to be reincarnated I will be sure to do that. lol

I had both. I even had the full size G.I. Joe (back when it was just the one) but lost him to some older kids who just had no respect. My brother and I used to execute the Joes with our BB guns. Good times.
The little green army guys were OK too, but it kinda sucked not being able to pose them for battle. If you needed a guy to snipe from a prone position you better not have lost that one guy who was posed that way.
