I’m looking into their program and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts about it?
Thanks.

There are still some states that do not recognize EC degrees. Looking at your title above, am assuming you have obtained your LPN license. There are some programs that have a EMT/LPN to RN program. That might be an option. I was an LPN, but chose to go BSN. Still worked weekends while in school. Then a direct commission into the Air Force and 2 1/2 years later I was accepted into the nurse anesthetist program.
I know Georgia has had issue in the past letting EC grads take the NCLEX.

Worked as GTA for ECU School of Nursing in the RN to BSN program 1991-1993. NCLEX in NC was written by ECU School of Nursing Department Heads who had their Doctorate Degrees...whichever route you take; I would suggest You make sure every ‘college-level’ course IS transferable to actual College Level Secondary Schools.
An Accociates Degree from a Community College is all that is needed in NC to (pay for) the NCLEX. ECU offers a ‘study’ course for NECLEX preparation.
Good Luck SSG Joey Hall!

I did the Excelsior ASN-RN program and later the BSN degree. I was living in Missouri at the time and had no trouble obtaining a license. I also had no trouble getting accepted into the Army’s CRNA graduate program. But some states have issues with the college. Check with your state BON or any state you plan on living or working. I had issues getting a OK license because they said my original ASN lacked something they wanted. Basically had to pay to do an additional 60 hours of OB and psych at some facility in OKC in order to get my RN license even though I had an advanced degree and was doing OB anesthesia.
