I’m a safety officer for my reserve unit and I’ve been tasked to come up with a building safety policy during our drill weekends after an incident last drill. We are an outlying unit who uses a building on a national guard installation and share our building with another reserve unit during our weekends. Does anyone have some guidance on where I can begin putting together a feasible building safety policy?

I am unsure if the national guard side has anything like this in place for their buildings. I will see if I can set up a meeting with I’m on my next weekend.

2LT (Join to see) - Since they own the building, it would be good to have a procedure that ties in what they have in place and used by your unit along with the other reserve unit.
