Some colleges accept credit for PLDC/WLC/BLC, BNCOC/ALC, ANCOC/SLC and UMUC gives credit for your NCOERs for SSG and above.

I have not done it myself but last year attended a conference in Iowa with all of the public Universities, community colleges, and many private colleges represented. We discussed the Joint Services Transcript and how credit for military education and experience is evaluated. Ultimately it depends on your school as to what they credit and do not accept. But the JST will tell you what the ACE recommends. In the school at which I work, they give credit for one of the general education requirements and most of the rest is for elective credit. Again, it comes down to the school.

Yes, however in your case USAMPs just recently gave up the 31D MOS to be articulated to Purdue University Global, before any credit had to be directly from ACE review

CSM Kevin Nolan They won’t give any for my masters courses anyway. I was curious about this when I was going through my undergrad.

Correct, on the Masters course credit work. The only enlisted school which generates Masters credit is the Sergeants Major Course. That being said, once we have looked at the 31D courses, perhaps there may be Masters course work in there. Will pursue once we are complete

Argosy University Twin Cities gives life experience credits, takes JSTs, accepts VA benefits, and gives 20% deal for active, reserve, or vets. Has accredited 100% online too! Associates-Doctoral.

Team mates: I work with SMA (ret) Jack Tilley as a contractor now that I have retired. One of the entities I work with is Kaplan University, Kaplan University has articulated the majority of Military MOS for college credits. That being said, some MOSs are worth more college credits then others, what the SMA has asked is that Servicemembers receive a an audit for all their JST courses as well as previous college credits prior to enrolling, then can make an informed decisions. Another caveat is that Soldiers RA, ARNG not have to be charged for books. If you have any further questions please drop me an email.

There are many colleges out there offering credit for what you already know (i.e. PME you have been through). Check out as many as you can before making a decision, ensure the school is a member of SOCAD (so other credits will transfer) , ensure also it Regionally accredited which is actually better than Nationally accredited (if you don't know the difference, visit your Ed center), ensure they will do an audit of your Joint Service Transcripts and any other college credits at no charge, finally make a decision that is right for you.

I am in the same boat as SFC Gabriel Hamilton; I received 42 credits with Military and Law Enforcement training under my belt. You should be up there. Also, Kaplan has a great program that a lot of my junior MPs have enrolled into; they only need to take a few classes to have their degree.

1SG, I actually work with Kaplan, a 31B SGT who has completed Phase 1 ALC needs 5 classes to attain their associates (with no other schooling) they are: English Comp I & II, Math 150, Criminal Justice 200 level and a Capstone CJ class. an 11B20 needs 11 classes and so on.

Thomas Edison State University pulled 59 credit hours from my Joint Service Transcript that were transferrable for my degree, not sure how many total. Not all elective courses, about 60% of my core curriculum was transferred in.
