Has anyone else noticed that you can't salute someone from your own service branch who is not in your contact list?

PO1 Tony Holland So that is what it is? I Know people that I've talked with on this Forum it won't let me Salute and I Never Understood why.

Anyone who you are not connected with you can't salute. I've tried.

I am able to salute non-Navy members all the time ---- makes no sense
