Has anyone gone Green to Gold Active Duty Option? If so, are you required to have a baseline of college credit to enter the program?

I've been wanting to put together a Green to Gold packet for some time now. I do not qualify for the scholarship options due to my age. I would be over the age requirement by the time of commission. I've been looking at the Active Duty option and it states that you need a CGPA of 2.5 from college, but I am unable to find if there is a credit requirement to be accepted into the program.

You must have enough credits to be accepted as a junior that can graduate within 2 years. I am graduating and commissioning in 45 days. So if you have any questions at all on the program, let me know. It is very worth it and is an excellent option to do Green to Gold. As I am sure you know, you will still get paid your active paycheck. Additionally you will not have to stress over the component portion of the OML process.

Thank you for the response sir. Just one more thing. I currently have 10 months in my current contract. Should I wait for further instruction prior to reenlisting to meet 48 months SRR or just reenlist anyways? I just sent USACC my notification of intent last week upon receipt of offer letter.

2LT (Join to see) I reenlisted right away. Some people reenlisted and got a big bonus right before going but I don't know what kind of options are available for your mos. I would recommend talking to your ROTC cadre and your reenlistment NCO

Sir. While at school through this program, did you get any other financial incentive besides GI Bill benefits, normal PCS entitlements, Active duty pay and benefits? I am trying to do some financial calculations.

1LT Horn, regarding the G2G ADO, once you are selected to advance to phase 2 of the program, is the candidate secured in the program as long as all administrative documents are submitted?

I've watched requirements for programs like this change over the last two decades based on Army needs. Talk to your retention/career NCO at BN or BDE, Commanders, 1SG/CSM, and even a trusted Field Grade Officer you may know well enough for mentorship advice.

SGT (Join to see), I will add that there use to be a foot note that allowed one year of age waiver for every year of service up to a certain age....so again, talk to retention and others that would know the current rules.
