Has the excuse "The Devil made me do it" every worked for you?

My life hasn't been the best of times nor has it been the worst of times, but it sure has been among the most interesting of times. As a student of law I have seen the "Twinkie Defense", the "White Privilege Defense", and other improbable legal tactics that have actually worked. (Just Google them if you don't know them) I can well imagine the "Colin Powell Defense" working for Hillary. Can you?
